Sometimes people add more keywords in their content to get higher ranking quickly but it harms their website rather than promoting it. Google has launched an algorithm named “panda” for such websites that provide low quality content. This update was launched to make the search results more relevant and to penalize those websites which are doing spam and producing duplicate and low quality content.




Things to be aware of when writing the content:

Keyword Stuffing: When you write the content don’t try to stuff more keywords in the content. Keyword density should not exceed more than 4%. Generally we should use 3% keyword density to avoid keyword stuffing.

Formula to calculate keyword density:

(Total number of keywords present in the content)*100/ (total number of words in the content)

Keyword Proximity: keyword proximity represents the closeness of keywords. While writing the content we should remember that keywords should not be placed nearer in the content. Proper distance is required between them.

Keyword Prominence: Keyword prominence defines the placement of main keywords in content. Main keywords must be placed in the starting and in the end of paragraphs and secondary keywords should be placed in the middle.

Easy to Understand: Content should be easy to understand and avoid more complex  words if possible. When writing the content make sure that your targeted audience can understand it without any hassle.

Avoid Scrapping and Duplicate Content: Some people use duplicate or scrapped content and spam the web. While Google has banned such type of activity but still there are some folks who are using these techniques. If you want to succeed for long time in online marketing then the first thing you need is Original content. Otherwise your website might be punished by Google.

Meaningful and Descriptive: While writing the content you need to become more precise and descriptive. You need to describe the people why your products/services are the best. What is the special thing that you have but others don’t. Tell the benefits of your service or product and try to make some offer to attract them.
